Join an Arctic and different fjord and mountain trip in the summer of 2022. A completely unique boat trip where we take you to the finest destinations in Northern Norway, for mountain trips: Lyngsalpene, Kvænangen and Jøkelfjorden. We sail through a magnificent fjord area surrounded by glacier covered mountains. We go to the quay or anchor up and you come ashore to complete today’s hiking or summit trip. Back on board, we enjoy a local food experience with focus on seafood while the ship sails on to the next destination.
This trip sets course north from Tromsø, the gateway to the Arctic. M/S Tromsø has been restored and today appears as a traditional local boat with a historic maritime atmosphere. With only 18 passengers and 2 guides, you will here get to know like-minded people who love the sea and go hiking in magical northern Norwegian mountains.
Welcome to the Tromsø gateway to the Arctic. M/S Tromsø is ready for the quay to take you north to explore the magical coast towards Lyngen and on to Kvænangen. Come on board deliver your luggage and take a trip to explore the city, we recommend a visit to the Polar Museum and a lunch in some of the nice restaurants before departure.
M/S Tromsø leaves the quay down town at 14:00, and sets course for the north.
Day 1:
Tromsø. Sails from the quay at 14:00. Arrival 16:00 Finnkroken. Departure 19:00 – Dinner onboard.
We gather in our maritim bar on upper deck planning or next couple of days.
Arrival to Yttre Andammen 02:00.
Day 2:
Breakfast. Landing on the island Andammen for our first wilderness walk on this beautiful uninhabited island.
We bring light lunch package with us and back onboard around 16:00. Next destination will be the historical island Helgøya.
Arrival at Helgøya at 19:00. Dinner on board. Evening mid-nightsun walk on this fascinating island.
Day 3:
Arrival Hamnes during morning. Breakfast and start hiking at 09:00 for the active walk up to Uløytind 1 113 meters. For us less high-minded we will do the culture hike. Departure from Hamnes at 17:00. Next destination Jøkelfjord / Skalsa arrival at 23:00
Day 4:
Jøkelfjord Breakfast 09:00 Activity at Gullgruva and a walk up towards the glacier for the fit once (approx 6 km).
We will spend the entire day in this absolutely enchanting fjord.
Afternoon we leave for Spildra with the small little settlement only 15 inhabitants but with remarkable history.
Day 5:
Departure for Skjervøy at 06:00. Breakfast onboard during our crossing over the fjord towards Skjervøy.
Arrival the picturesque fishing village Skjervøy for a full day relaxing time.
Day 6:
Departure from Skjervøy at 05:00.
Arrival Tromsø and disembarkation at 14:00
